Obituary for Stephen Peck

Stephen John Peck January 3rd, 1955 - March 7th, 2017

Born in London England to Ruby Doreen Edith Peck. Youngest of 8. Canadian effective January 19th, 1975. Stephen, aka (Steve, spike, dad, daddy) left this world on March 7th, 2017 succumbing to brain cancer. Stephen respected all denominations that adhered to a genuine loving spirit, for himself, he chose none. Steve viewed himself as a chameleon; adapting, co-operating always. An outdoor enthusiast, fishing, camping and hunting kept him one with nature and was most at peace. He approached life with common sense and read and understood any complicated task. A butcher, a baker, a chemist, a stone mason, a systems engineer, a programmer and finally an entrepreneur. He had a love of learning and had a keen enthusiasm for the history of military actions. A member of OFAH (Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters), and the Legion, he always endeavoured to be a man of honour and truth.

Stephen's legacy continues with his two beautiful boys, Christopher River Peck and Thomas Christian Aleczander Peck. They shared his loving, compassionate and kind characteristics, and are of an uncanny likeness. They shared his love for music, playing and singing talents and appreciations of fishing and computer aptitude. They miss their dad dearly. Sharing his world with him, was his wife Rosemary Lillian Giovannini-Peck. They shared 30 years of both good and hard times but always had a friend in each. Their mantra "There ain't no one that can believe, that their strength of Rose and Steve." A heartfelt thanks to Thomas' significant other, Hayley Lennox, for your strength and loving support of getting us through this process.

He will be missed by his second family; mum, Theresa Ann Giovannini, who treated him as her own son and enjoyed doing crosswords together. The Giovannini’s, O’Brien’s, Ross’s and Colclough who never abandoned their support for him. Thank you to Hany and Maria, our Toronto neighborhood pharmacist for 20 years. They took care of his needs, and shared a special friendship; it was unmeasurable.

Thanks to the R.V Hospital and doctors, CCAC nursing and PSW’s and all other support personal in Wasaga Beach and Barrie. And a special thanks to his personal GP, “Your care was unwavering and your treatment of Steve was compassionate and with dignity that was unmatched by any other; for a special human being.

"Go my love, adventure where you may, free of pain and sorrow. Help to guide and protect us, support us, and dream with us." Love, Hunski (Rosemary)

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 at
