Donald Clifford Irving passed away peacefully on Saturday September 26, 2009 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in his 79th year. Don, beloved husband of Marion Irving of Collingwood. Loving father of Carolyn and her husband Jim Crosscombe and Catherine Irving. Cherished grandfather of Nigel & Rachel Crosscombe. Donald was a past member of Uplands Golf Club in Thornhill, Glenway Golf & Country Club in Newmarket and Wasaga Sands Golf Club. The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the Staff, Nurses and Physicians at the Collingwood G& M Hospital for all of their care and compassion. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 at Fawcett Funeral Homes, 82 Pine Street, Collingwood. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Trinity United Church, 140 Maple Street, Collingwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation in Mr. Irving's memory.
