Condolence: Dear Dr McGillivray - I did not hear about your wife's passing till Sept 6. I am sorry I missed her funeral. She was very kind to me and we had lots of good times together. I still have the chestnut twig she gave me and now it is quite the shade tree in my backyard. I will always think of her with great fondness.

Condolence: Dear James: I was in the Weyburn Church youth group with Irene. She was about 3 years younger. I married Ella Meyer. I was a Pastor in a Vancouver suburb when we heard with much delight that Irene was coming to sing an opera , I believe it was LaBohem . We met her back stage and got the most delightful greeting. I don,t remember if it was at this time,or later but she phoned and came to worship and sang the Lord's Prayer . I can still remember the awe and oohs of the people. She was a lovely woman.
