Nicely, Donald George, aged 93, of Springwater Township, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday the 6th of December 2016, at home with his loving wife by his side. Born in 1923 in Barrie, ON, son of William and Louise Nicely. A veteran of World War II, painter and small engine mechanic. He is survived by his wife Mona; son Ross; daughters Kathy and Lisa; step-daughter Sandi Simpson; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by wife Eva Nicely; son Richard; step-daughter Donna and step-son Rob. Visitation will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Monday December 12, 2016 from 12-1 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Light refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
