Robinson, Clarence Edward John
‘Sonny’ passed away peacefully on Sunday June 10, 2018 at Sunset Manor at the age of 84 years. Sonny, loving husband of Marlene (nee Forbes); proud father of Daryl Robinson and Joanna Robinson and her husband Kit Redding and cherished grandfather of Holly. Born in Collingwood to parents the late John and Edna Robinson, Sonny is survived by his brothers Doug, Don (Cathy), Dennis (Shirley) and Ron and his sister Kathaleen (the late James Dance); predeceased by his sister Marie (the late Orval) Risebrough. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Sonny was inducted into the Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 and will be remembered for his hockey career and contributions to the sport in Collingwood; it was his passion. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Homes – Collingwood Chapel. Funeral service will be at the Church of Christ, 494 Tenth St. at 1 p.m. on Friday June 15, 2018. Interment at Westmount Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
