Joan Marlene Thompson (Gardhouse)
September 5, 1933 – February 9, 2018

Passed away peacefully at Creedan Valley Care Centre in her 85th year. Joan is survived by her loving husband Stan Thompson and will be deeply missed by her children Joe (Donnie) Gardhouse, Judy (the late Brian) Garbutt and Jeffery Gardhouse (Sheelaugh). Cherished grandmother of Kevin, Trevor, Gary Garbutt, Billy, Theresa, Haley and Lucas Phillips, Jacob and Madison Gardhouse, Amanda, Derek and the late Jordan Gardhouse; great grandmother of 14. Joan was born in Toronto to parents Clarence and Mary Barker and is predeceased by her brother James (Lola) Barker. Family and friends will be received at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel on Saturday February 17, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
