Mervyn Aubrey McArthur July 16 1924-Jan 28 2018

It is with great sadness the passing of Mervyn McArthur at the age of 93 at Sunset Manor. Devoted husband to the late Laverne McArthur ( McKean ) . Loving father of Michael ( Laura Salter ) and the late Deborah McArthur- Timlock . Will be greatly missed by grandchildren Lacey Timlock (Tyler) , Camille, Kelton, and Molly McArthur and great grandchildren Petra and Valen Tyler . At 17 yrs of age Merv signed up for adventure and served in WW 11 with the Canadian First Hussars in the Sherman tanks through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. On returning from Europe worked in the automotive business and retired from the Collingwood Shipyards as an electrical storesman . His wonderful sense of humour will be missed by all.Resting at the Fawcett Funeral Home in Collingwood.Donations can be sent towards the Alzheimer's society.
