Marinus (Rene) Meesters passed away on Friday December 22, 2017 at his home in Collingwood at the age of 83. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Cornelia (Corrie). He will be dearly missed by his 6 children, Maryanne (Wayne), Linda (Ron), Peter (Charlotte), Nancy, Michael and Ken (Melissa); 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Rene is survived by 1 sister, Catherine St. Amand (Arnold); 3 brothers Joe (Charlotte), Arnold (Mary) and Adam (Bonnie); pre deceased by brothers Casey (Judy Ann), Nick (Denise) and John (Thelma). Rene will be fondly remembered and missed by extended family and everyone that knew him.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday December 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
