Obituary for Wanda Stojanovic

Wanda Stojanovic nee Zdanek 1930-2017

Wanda passed away peacefully and comfortably on the morning of Monday December 4th, 2017. Born March 16th, 1930 in Toronto, Wanda spent many years laughing, learning and dancing in the city. Wanda moved to Collingwood in 1996 to be closer to her beloved family. She was an avid reader, story-teller, baker and linguist and kept correspondence with a multitude of people all across the world. Although her body was failing, her mind remained sharper than ever. Wanda’s endless love, acceptance, generosity, kindness and her determined will to live, has left a lasting impact on numerous people. Her values and spirit will live on in their memory. She was the loving wife of the late Stan Stojanovic, beloved Mother of Zora; mother in law to Phil; Grandmother (Babi) to Isaac and Leah and a dear sister to Lise. Her memory will be treasured forever and always.
The family would like to thank all of Wanda’s care givers. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Lewin and the entire medical floor nursing staff at the Collingwood G&M Hospital for their hard-work, diligence and compassion. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday December 9, 2017 at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
