On Sunday evening, October 1st,2017 at the age of 53, Scott, son of Ann Boyd and the late Brian Skinner, passed away in Collingwood General and Marine Hospital surrounded by his closest family. Scott will be forever lovingly remembered by all and leaves behind his wife of over 30 years, Susanne Burke, his brother Todd and wife Melissa LaFlair and their children Madeline and Jeffrey. A loyal and generous friend to many - Scott was always ready to help people out however he could. He had an extremely deep love and respect for all animals, especially the ones he and Sue cared for over the many years. Scott loved festivals ‘n’ fireworks…he was our Roman Candle….explosive at times, a little unpredictable, and a brilliant, exciting light in the darkness. He will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at a later date for family and friends. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at CGMH who cared for Scott and kept him comfortable during his time in the hospital. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Scott's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Georgian Triangle Humane Society.
