Veenstra, Gerrit Willem passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family, on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in his 88th year. Loving husband of Adriana; father of Jim (Arianne), the late Marion (Cornelis) VanBarneveld, Margaret (Robert) VanBarneveld, the late Jeffery (Diana) Veenstra, Adriana (Randy) Vermaas and David (Jenna) Veenstra will be forever cherished by his 26 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. A private family service will be held at the Creemore Union Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew's Hespeler Presbyterian Church in Cambridge, Ontario on Wednesday August 30th at 2 p.m. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations to Presbyterian World Service and Development would be appreciated.
