Condolence From: Ellen Goodfellow and children
Condolence: 42 years ago I moved up to Lisle with my family and found a friend just down the road whose family invited me and always made me feel like part of their family. Michelle and I played for years at your family residence with Mrs. Van Ryn always have the most delicious baking she would share at snack time. I sure looked forward to those mouth watering cookies when she baked. I had the privilege of sharing meals made by your mom, teasing by your dad, games of hide and seek with all of you, evenings of board games and sleepovers throughout my younger years. I remember how proud she was of her gardens and how she always keep the driveway clean and swept. I also remember that if you left your coat in the chair when you came in, it was hung up before you came back. I learnt to hang it up first, then go to the washroom. Over the years we all grew up and started our own families and I remember stopping with my little ones at Halloween and your parents were always welcoming and happy to see how my children were growing and to hear how we were doing. I will always consider myself to be very fortunate to have the wonderful childhood memories I do of the time spent with your family. Your mom was a wonderful person and she will be missed but always remembered with smile and a little laughter.
