Gladys Violet FISHER (nee Clent)
April 14, 1920 – May 23, 2017

Surrounded by her family, Gladys passed away at Campbell House (Hospice Georgian Triangle) on May 23rd at the age of 97. Loving wife of the late Sidney L. Fisher (predeceased in 2000) for over 51 years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law to Ron Fisher and Patricia McMichael, and Karen Fisher Deel and Paul Bolyea. Cherished Nana of grandchildren Jennifer Blaney (Mike), Kyle Fisher (Amy), Jeffrey Deel (Lindy) and Lauren Deel, and step-grandchildren Andrew Bolyea (Paula), Steven Hughes (Val) and Brent Hughes (Zee), and step-great grandchildren Henry and Alexia. Predeceased by her mother and father, Annie and George Clent, sister May Clent and brother Sydney Clent. Gladys worked for most of her career at Ontario Hydro. Her family and friends, who loved her for her kind, wonderful spirit, will sadly miss Gladys.

The family would like to thank the Simcoe/Muskoka Palliative Care team, Dr. Jackie Lai, and the most talented and compassionate team at Campbell House. On Monday, May 29, 2017, there will be a visitation at 12:00 noon, and a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Home, 82 Pine Street, Collingwood, Ontario. Reception to follow. Private interment for the family will follow on Tuesday, May 30th at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
