Obituary for Lynn Woods

Bernice Lynn Woods (Bardsley), age 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 9th, 2017, at General & Marine Hospital in Collingwood. She was born December 28th, 1949 in Toronto to Irene Hannahson and Herbert Bardsley. Lynn is survived by her loving husband Fred Woods, her beautiful daughter Elizabeth Robinson, devoted brother Alan Bardsley, (Kitty) nephew Scott Bardsley (Katherine), nephew Douglas Bardsley and great nephew Elliott. In Lynn’s own words, “weep for your loss, but do not weep for me. I have lived a richly blessed life. I’ve enjoyed the delight of an adoring husband, the original nice guy and pride in a beautiful, strong talented daughter, a generous devoted mother, a warm nurturing father and a mischievous inspiring brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, in laws, dogs, cats, fleshed out the family tree, with characters who made me smile and helped shape my heritage. So many friends and energetic colleagues enriched my life with laughter and mystery. I am grateful for the people who crossed my path teaching me to stretch, learn, play and work (volunteer), enriching my life and those around me. I’ve loved all of my life’s highs and lows and look forward to the next one”. A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on Saturday June 17th at 2 p.m. at the Peninsula Recreation Centre, 1131 Juddhaven Rd. Minett, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for The Dorothy Ley Hospice (220 Sherway Dr. Etobicoke, ON M9C 0A7) or The Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario (2nd Floor 4-290 The West Mall Etobicoke, ON M9C 1C6)
