December 9, 1924 - February 22, 2017

Passed away peacefully on February 22, 2017 at Sunset Manor, Collingwood at the age of 92. Barbara of Collingwood, beloved wife of the late Stanley Kenneth. Loving mother of Michael (Carol) of Thornbury, and predeceased by son Gregory. Cherished grandmother to Nicole (Clint) of Vancouver, Christopher (Celina) of London, England, Gregory of Oakville & Paul (Sherry) of China and great grandma to Mathilda & Ethan. Predeceased by her parents, Emmeline & Henry Canning. Dear sister of Harry (June) of England, and predeceased by sister Patricia. Aunt of Kaetrin (Paul) of New Zealand, Kevin, Neil & Gary all of England. Born in Lahore, India where she attended boarding school in the Himilayan's. She married her husband, Ken on March 5th, 1947 and moved to England where their sons Michael & Gregory were born. The family emigrated to Canada in the summer of 1957. Barbara was a teacher for the Etobicoke Board of Education for many years. A special thanks to the staff at Sunset Manor for their excellent care. A family gathering will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Canada, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by Barbara's family.
