Edward, Renee – passed away peacefully at Sunset Manor Nursing in Collingwood on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at the age of 87. Renee, (nee Green), was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Llewellyn Edward of Collingwood. Dear sister of Mavis Merry, Denis (Chris) Green, Ernest (Rosemary) Green and the late Terry John (Maureen) Green, all of England. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins, as well as many friends in both Canada and the UK. Renee was born in the UK, she came to Canada in 1956 as a British trained nurse and midwife. After meeting the love of her life, Lloyd, she returned to Britain briefly, but returned to Canada after marrying Lloyd in May of 1961. Renee was a dedicated nurse at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital for 31 years. Renee was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Collingwood, as well as the Christian Women’s Club. She enjoyed traveling and returned to England regularly to visit her family. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday December 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Westmount Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital or First Baptist Church would be appreciated.
