Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Friday October 28, 2016 in her 85th year. Nellie, you will be forever missed by your loving daughters, Anita and her husband David Hearn, Tania and her husband Ian Hawkins. Dear grandmother (Mor) to Aaron, Ryan, Thomas, Rheanne, Graeme, Ayla, Zackary, & Zane. Predeceased by her sister Lillian. Fondly remembered by her sisters, Gunhild & Ellen, brothers Einar & Jonny and many nieces, nephews and friends. Thank you to BayHaven Retirement Home staff for their kind-hearted care during the last few years. Thank you to Dr. Nicole Green & Nurses (Beth & Karen) in the medical ward of CGMH for their compassionate care. In keeping with Nellie’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. Celebration of Life will take place Friday, November 4, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with time of reflections at 3:15 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to The Alzheimer Society or Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House would be appreciated.
