John Lawrence Onda, born February 24, 1925 predeceased by his wife June, in 2013. Loving Dad to Kathryn (Michael Cruise) and Valerie (Leslie Marien). Papa to Michelene (Peter Hauber) Allison (Marco Alvarez Larraceleta) and Valerie (Gordon Clausen), Lindsay (Steve Gallant) Adam Marien, Hillary (Rob Blanchet) and Connor Marien. Great grandfather to Ian, Thomas, Simon and Malcolm Hauber, Ryan and Rebeccah Gallant, Alton and Desmond Blanchet. John was a loyal employee for over 40 years, at Atlas Steele in Welland, World War II Veteran, hunter, fisherman and raconteur…he always had a story to tell, enjoyed his rum and coke, playing cards, his dogs, and being up north. He built the best wood stove fires, ever. He is dearly loved, life will never be the same without him. As per his wishes, there is to be no funeral, following cremation.
